Chapter 21
IndexBend and you will be whole, curve and you will be straight, hollow out and you will be filled, wear out and you will be renewed, have little and you will gain, have much and you will be confused.
Therefore, the sage embraces the One as the model for the world.
Not seeing oneself, thus enlightened; not asserting oneself, thus distinguished; not boasting of oneself, thus meritorious; not being self-important, thus enduring.
Only by not contending, can none in the world contend with it.
The ancient saying that 'the crooked becomes whole' is not empty words! Truly, it returns to wholeness.
