If you wish to shrink something, you must first allow it to expand. If you wish to weaken something, you must first allow it to strengthen. If you wish to eliminate something, you must first allow it to flourish. If you wish to take something away, you must first allow it to be given.
This is called subtle illumination.
The soft and weak overcome the hard and strong.
A fish cannot escape from its deep pool; a country's sharp weapons should not be displayed to others.
