Chapter 61

Index
The Way is the profound mystery from which all things emerge.
For the good person, it is a treasure; for the one who is not good, it is that which preserves them.
Beautiful words can be traded in the marketplace; honorable conduct can elevate one among others.
Those who are not good - why should they be abandoned?
Therefore, when establishing the Son of Heaven and installing the Three Ministers, though one might offer jade discs held in both arms preceding teams of four horses, this cannot compare to sitting and presenting this Dao.
Why did the ancients prize this Dao so highly?
Is it not said: through it, what is sought is attained, and those with transgressions are absolved?
Therefore, it is treasured by all under heaven.
