Chapter 6
Heaven endures and Earth persists.
The reason Heaven and Earth can endure and persist is that they do not live for themselves; therefore they can long endure.
Thus the sage puts his person last, yet his person comes first; treats his person as external, yet his person is preserved.
Is it not because he is without self-interest?
Thus he is able to fulfill his self.
