Chapter 58
In governing people and serving Heaven, nothing compares to conservation.
Only through conservation can one be said to prepare early; preparing early is called the repeated accumulation of virtue; with repeated accumulation of virtue, nothing cannot be overcome; when nothing cannot be overcome, no one knows the limits of such a one; when no one knows their limits, they may possess a kingdom; possessing the mother of the kingdom, they may long endure. This is called deep roots and a firm foundation - the Way of long life and enduring vision.
