IndexThe world has a beginning, which may be regarded as the mother of the world.
Having attained the mother, one can understand her children. Understanding the children, one returns to preserve the mother. Thus, to the end of one's days, one will not be in peril.
Block the openings, shut the gates, and throughout life there will be no toil.
Open the openings, meddle in affairs, and throughout life there will be no salvation.
Perceiving the subtle is called clarity; maintaining flexibility is called strength.
Use its radiance, yet return to its luminosity; leave no calamity for the body. This is called practicing constancy.
