IndexThe great Way flows everywhere, it may go left or right.
All things rely on it for life, yet it claims no possession; it accomplishes its work, yet seeks no credit.
It clothes and nourishes all things without claiming lordship, eternally desireless, it may be called the small; all things return to it, yet it does not dominate them, it may be called the great.
Because it never regards itself as great, it is able to accomplish its greatness.
