Index
The great Way flows everywhere; it can go left or right.
The ten thousand things depend on it for life, yet it does not refuse them; its work is accomplished, yet it claims no possession.
It clothes and nourishes the ten thousand things yet does not act as their master; ever without desire, it may be named among the small. The ten thousand things return to it, yet it does not act as their master; it may be named among the great.
Because it never considers itself great, it is able to achieve its greatness.
