The Way that can be rendered as a way is not the enduring Way.
The name that can be designated as a name is not the enduring name.
The nameless is the origin of heaven and earth; the named is the mother of the ten thousand things.
Therefore, in constant desirelessness, observe its subtle mystery; in constant desiring, observe its manifest boundaries.
These two emerge from the same source yet bear different names; together they are called the Mystery.
Mystery upon mystery - the gateway to all wonders.
